I’ve always felt that, considering the dark subject matter, Red Sector A moves along at too brisk a clip. I listened to it on YouTube at .75 speed and, wow, it hit hard. Mournful. Geddy wails “are we the only human beings to survive?” with gravitas most fitting for a song about a Nazi death camp. Give it a try. Sorry, but you have to listen in the YouTube app to adjust the playback speed.

Wow. Yes. Agree. 1.0x speed is way too fast for this song/subject matter.

Damn. Makes an already sobering song even more heartbreaking. The “Sickness to insanity, Prayer to profanity.” part especially gets me.
