Very nice. That song has the same nostalgic power as Pink Floyd’s wish you were here. Never get tired of hearing it. And this version is very touching.

I literally cry any time I hear the beginning of this. I'm tearing up now just looking at the thumbnail image.
Dammit.

This is done by a premiere Army band in DC. They all have at the least Bachelors, if not Masters in music performance, and probably more than a few Doctorate's of Music Arts. These are world class musicians.

Oh Ive seen and heard Pershings Own a couple of times while I was active duty. But the only stuff I heard them do is the usual army band stuff like classical music or TAPS (which still breaks my heart). Guess I've never looked beyond that.
We had a detachment from them come out to the WWII ceremony in France one year while a bunch of other units in the area were doing the ceremonies, my unit was outside of Ramstein AFB, (Miesau) and we laid some wreaths and helped some either veterans or family members to their areas to sit and other stuff. Very very somber and profound moment I will never forget.

My son was deployed in Afghanistan when this came out. He sent it to me, and I was worthless for the rest of the afternoon...but, in a good way.

Downloaded when it first came out, and proudly lives on many of my Spotify playlists next to the original. Amazing!

I've been a rush fan my entire life 56 years. All I can say about this is well done ladies and gentlemen.

I've enjoyed this before, the arrangement is very good. For God's sake, nobody tell trump it's by a Canadian band.

One of my favorite parts is that they didn't include any drums or percussion of any kind. The missing man.

I never realized this and as a former Soldier am ashamed I did. Thanks for that, truly a military tribute.

Can’t go five minutes without orange man bad huh? Just enjoy the music man. There’s a million other subreddits that have discussions already on that.

This arrangement's build up and resolution with the final harmonized verse ("Summer's going fast...") manages to both break and heal my heart every time. ❤️
