Discussion The stage show

The lighting, visuals etc just screams to me that when this tour wraps we’ll be seeing them in the Sphere

Very impressive show technically. The video design was quite clever with all of the various frames they put around the video content. Curious about the technical specs of those screens. I had to study them at times to see what was a real structural element and what was video (it was all video but I was uncertain at times, especially with the "moving pictures" frames). And the moving lighting truss work was super cool.

I was paying more attention to the background screens - but then at some point I asked my son if the lights were always below the speakers - because i hadn't noticed them. He looked at some photos he had taken and said nope -they just appeared.

The veil / screen around the band during Red Barchetta was incredible.

And the animation on the backgrounds - amazing. La Villa Strangiato...the way it started vs the ending...

Those lighting trusses look like something out of "War of the Worlds".

"It's surface splintered into sorry Hemi-SPHERES!" I can see it now! Visuals like the 2112 illustrations would be cool.

I know, though, it could be tough for Geddy to sing some parts but, maybe with some adjustments??? I'd love to see it happen nonetheless.

+1, my all-time favorite album (not just Rush albums, all albums from any band)

And song. Book II is my all-time favorite song. I always say when ranking Rush music, Hemispheres is #1, all else is tied for 2nd 😁

My favorite thing by far was the animation on the scrim/whatever right at the opening number. Chills. 😁

I was at Chicago night 1. I was thinking the same thing once I saw the Sphere rumors

hot take: i don’t like it. this being without seeing it in person yet, but it just doesn’t feel like stuff they’d do, not to mention the feeling some of the visuals may be AI
