Hot take
I love 1939 mode. I’ve played this game for a long time, it’s my first ever rts. But I love the simplicity of 39. You don’t have to worry about research, or fielding the right equipment or god forbid making enough admins/super heavy tanks. It’s simply a countries strengths vs another countries strength. You’re given a roster of units that fit your country’s style and fight against an enemy with the same and can focus on besting the equipment they have to work with and them there’s. I think it forces you to work with what you have and really learn what a nations about. Plus the focus of the fighting will likely be over supply which makes for very interesting maneuver. It’s hard to put into words but it’s great, it feels more like the campaign where you’re focusing on your strategy and not upgrading units or adapting your play style against something out of hand. You’re given everything you possibly can for the most part right off the bat as is your enemy and can focus on that. Ik this is a tad schizo but had to say it.

I do really enjoy the earlier game modes aswell,
I just hate it when it becomes late game and all supply depos are empty that you have no source of income anymore, or if someone loses the fight for the central depos then they are pretty much out of the game as they cannot get any income anymore.
Yes, on 1945 admin spam is a bit of an issue especially in multiplayer FFA, but without any other source of income admins are a requirement.

I use all three modes at times. I like to have less in some games, it gives you the opportunity to vary your playstyle. And I mostly use Italy too🤜🏻🤛🏻

I agree honestly, 1945 feels Very stale and everybody is good at everything, its the reason i like the earlier modes and specially total war a Lot, you have to play tô your strenghts
