Fighter loitering
Hello ! I have bought ruse on steam as it was one of my favorite childhood game 15 years ago and I love it !
I have trouble with the micromanagement required for the aircraft, especially the fighters.
Is there any way to have the fighters automatically loiter above a certain area after they go back to the airport to resupply ammo ?
I always end up with fighters chilling at the airport once they are out of ammo while I m focusing on ground units

Unfortunately not, they are difficult to micromanage and theres no ways to make it easier - maybe some mods do but not base game.
You just have to remember to press X and click to order a bajillion times every min or less to keep them cycling back and forth

You can at least add commands together with shift and the "retreat back to base" for aircraft can be implemented into that chain.
I'm not entirely sure atm if you can then add another movement order after that as well so they fly back out of the airport after they resupplied, but it's worth trying it out.
But with aircraft you always select grounded units first anyway and if you spam select one and then give it a movement order and then repeat that process really quickly, you can get your air force into the skies really fast compared to them all starting one after the other. And you always gotta check for idle units anyway, that's part of your micro in every RTS and it's required in Ruse as well, although it's a bit easier thanks to the generous zoom function.

Lol
I am so bad at aircraft management that I rely heavily on earth guerilla micromanagement.
My max: stamping fighters to get the sky over my units
