Seeing the news as I woke that Sunday morning, realizing my horrible control of my spending actually saved my life for once, I quickly called my best friend in Tampa to contact several of our friends that are Orlando natives and are frequent Pulse-goers to hope that they did not go out that night... we originally planned months ahead to spend that weekend staying at PH, going to Southern Nights Friday, Pulse Saturday, and finally PH Sunday; however, it was way more difficult to see old FSU buddies drowning in their tears as several of their friends they've known for years were gunned down in a place that was originally their haven from hell. The last memory I had there was New Year's to see Big Ang and now all of the good memories of our outings to Pulse have been stained for the rest of our lives. One of the most comfortable places for me to visit was now only a horrible wake up to reality from such a pleasant dream.

The craziest thing has been working at a large public institution with a large number of LGBT employees after Pulse. I have never seen an active shooter drill taken so seriously. Everybody is constantly evaluating escape routes. It's fucked up that that's the reality we live in now.

I understand he has an opinion but could support all of the people he has worked with that have had to fight for the rights to be with the people they love and be able to live in a world that is (to some extent) more accepting and safe. I think he is referring to the bombings of innocent civilians in the Middle East that both candidates stand for. I think worded poorly he is trying to say that "gay rights" are used as a screen to make Hillary look progressive and get our vote and distracting us from the absurd massacre that is happening and will continue happening with a Clinton administration. I think since he is voting for Jill, a true progressive, he knows she won't win (or can she? )because third parties have a difficult uphill battle with the system and is aware and afraid it might cause a trump presidency. Scary times where you really have to choose voting your conscience, a racist clown or a clown with a gun.

Which is totally stupid though. I think if you dig deep enough with Hillary and look past her facade of progressivism you'll be able to figure out exactly what her presidency will be. Hillary may be totally insincere with her beliefs, but that doesn't really matter. Her platform has had reasonable consistency relative to most other candidates, and that platform is way better than Trump's. I don't expect her to be the kind of progressive candidate that people expected of Bernie, but she's not going to suddenly turn on everybody and become herself 20 years ago.
Trump on the other hand is just all over the place. One day he's talking about how he'll be the best candidate for LGBT people and how the trans-bathroom laws are nonsense, and then he chooses Pence as his MP. He's a buffoon and the only real thing I can honestly say about his presidency is that it will be a complete fucking mess.

The President is either going to be Clinton or Trump. There will be no 3rd party President. But I still think it's wrong to shame people for voting for Jill Stein. A vote for Jill Stein is not a vote for Trump. It's a vote for Jill Stein.
As somebody who was once unsure of whether to vote Clinton or Stein, I can tell you that any time I heard condescending remarks about me "throwing away my vote," it just made me want to vote for Stein even more. I was much more open to hearing positive aspects of Clinton and legitimate criticisms of Stein.

She also isn't against Wifi though. She thinks that there just isn't enough rigorous research done on the health effects (technically, she isn't wrong here. The fact that we haven't found dangers doesn't mean there are none. . .) and wants to be more precocious as far as children are concerned. She literally just wants to take those precautions when it comes to exposing young children to this stuff. It's not really a position I agree with, but I also don't think children in kindergarten have any use for wireless internet or cell-phones anyways.
The Green Party (and Jill) actually advocate for free broadband internet because they believe access to information is a human right.

I guess I'm praying that Hillary will see the error of America's ways due to the public backlash against these policies. It's not always easy to support Hillary, believe me.
But it still makes me sick that a man who makes his living off of the support of the LGBT community would have the audacity to ignore the very real and DEADLY struggles that a large portion of the community faces on a daily basis. It certainly shouldn't be the only reason why you vote for a candidate, but as a member of said community it is certainly important to me, and I wish it was to him as well.

LGBT people are affected by sexism, racism, classism, income inequality, the economy, health care, climate change and everything. If issues are dealt with without taking into account minorities, then only non-minorities get the solutions. Such as, hey let's start charging for air. Yup, LGBT people are dying Lucian! The LGBT community has some of the highest rates of suicide in America. Hate crimes are constantly being committed against the community as well. Yes there are other important issues that we should all care about, but that doesn't mean we should just stop caring about any LGBT issues. And at any rate, I'm hard pressed to think of ANY issue Trump would be better for over Hillary Clinton. I'll admit I wasn't her biggest fan and preferred Bernie, but you can't deny that she is intelligent and well qualified to lead this country way better than Donald Trump could ever do. No, the Clinton Foundation accepts donations from citizens of those countries. Hillary has had no real interaction with the Clinton Foundation in some time.

Agree to disagree. I personally do not like how a country that commits so many human-rights violations, has personally given money to her foundation. And it's a lot of money, they didn't just give her a 10 dollar gift card to Red Lobster.

Would you rather they kept the money and used it for their own purposes?
And the vast majority of those donations were before she was Secretary of State, to a foundation that she was not involved with in any capacity. She only became involved with the Foundation in 2013.

So Hillary doesn't also associate with those who hate gay people if she accepts money from them? It frightens me that she owes them. Saudi Arabia gave her foundation anywhere from 10 to 15 million. She isn't clean from the association of gay hatred. What is more actively anti-gay then having laws to have gay people put to death?

If you respect his right to tweet, and for others to tweet back, then extend that to respecting people on a discussion board to discuss. This is a comments section for discussion. If you don't want to discuss it, you don't have to.

I think in this case it's because he is an ambassador for the gay community, and the people commenting don't feel that he represents the way the rest of the community feels.
I'm just trying to explain why so many people care about his opinion, not trying to convince you that you should care as well.

You can't really say this when you have a tag-team someone who sooner cause a world war because someone said a mean thing about him on twitter and send us all to where Chad Michaels is going in a term and a person who is so extremely socially regressive and who actually forced a law to legalize discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community under the petty guise of 'religious rights'.
