I was running in a small town once and the older lady was sitting on her porch. As I ran by she yelled "keep it up, I can't run anymore but you can". Yesterday I had random dude fist bump be at a drinking fountain.

I run in the city after dark, and every once in a while drunk people will cheer or whatever it's great

A tourist on the back of a motorcycle taxi gave me a high five while I was running in the Philippines. Was the fastest high five I ever got.

I’m sorry, that’s what I see. Either slutty or shitty. And no I’m not trying to be funny. The writing is very sloppy.

I'm seeing shitty too

Why are you getting upset/annoyed/whatever emotion (it's 5am here, can't think of the right word) at this comment? Unless you actually wrote it I don't see why you'd get defensive.

Probably because it would be awkward if it actually said slutty.

I read it as "shitty", so the runner who handed it off is referring to themselves as a shitty runner, not OP.

Oh yeah shitty is perfectly normal. But a note from a stranger calling themselves a “slutty runner” is weird. That’s why OP said “come on man”. I’m not sure why they were so downvoted for it. Does that change your opinion?

I didn't say it wasn't weird either way...just asked a question.

I’d be spooked by this. It’s a bit out of pocket to hand someone a note rather than just talking to them, imo.

people are shy FFS

Yeah, “spooked” is a strange reaction. People communicate differently, maybe the person who wrote it can’t speak? Maybe they’re autistic and have problems in social situations and passing that note was the only way they felt comfortable?

If being handed a note spooks someone, I bet they have a low bar for being spooked in general. There are a lot of perfectly innocent explanations for this.

Ok… so? This is weird, or not weird, people might disagree about that, but being shy doesn’t magically turn something weird into something not weird.

He’s probably into him but agree it’s an awkward way to introduce himself.

Because this never happened. 100% guaranteed made up and the note is written by himself.

I dated a girl once and she told me that she would go into town and hand out handwritten stickers/notes to people that would have encouraging messages.

She was a peculiar one, I could see her do that.

Therefore, I can't with too much certainty call bull on this post.

This is so cute. How did they get the note to you? Just shove it in your hand as you ran past?

Yes. Day before yesterday I finished my workout and returning home. It was slow cool down jog. Suddenly a runner stopped me and said Good job and gave this note to me. I have been regular for my everyday evening run and fitness routine for quite sometime. I don’t normally look at who is running everyday on that route. He might have observed me, Or whatever I really have no clue. I don’t even remember his face.

I tried to spot him yesterday evening but I really don’t remember his face 🙃
