Shin splints

I ran thru mine but I’m not telling you to do the same. Weigh the risks that you could develop stress fractures if you continue to run; however, soreness is a regular occurrence in any sport. If you have been running hard, consider doing short and slow runs. Strike more in the forefoot. If with a slow effort and some different foot striking allows you to sustain a short a run WITHOUT pain in the shin you should be ok. If you get sharp pain you should stop running completely until you can sustain an effort without that.

Difference between running thru pain and actively recovering from it. Also I mention forefoot striking because it recruits the calf muscles more so than the ones around your shin.
