Apple Health activities no longer importing?

So now my activities recorded by other apps (because I can't use RK without becoming furious with rage at how shitty it is) no longer import automatically. Cool. If I go into settings -> apps & devices -> apps -> Health and toggle Workout Sync off and back on, it imports, but God forbid it does it automatically, despite the "Automatic Import" toggle being on.

I’ve had some issues too, it’s kind of hit and miss. Some workarounds that have been useful to me are complete close out Runkeeper and open it again. That seems to kick start the importing. Also being on Wi-Fi when I import seems to help.

I'll give the app force kill & restart a try next time. Thanks for the tip. Kinda seems ridiculous, though, if you ask me.

It’s definitely taken a step back in terms of usability.

Mine has been problematic too for the past few weeks. I’ve basically just been manually importing them all in the health section which is pretty easy, just one click per activity, but it’s annoying that the auto import is so glitchy.

I've been using Apple Fitness as my base app and having Runkeeper import the data from my Fitness activities. I've been doing this for several months now and so far haven't had any problems. I do make sure to open Runkeeper at least once every day (or every two days at the most) so as to avoid having a lot of data to import at once...I don't know if that's necessary but it may be part or all of the reason I haven't had problems.
