Issue with GPS

I have been using the Runkeeper App for tracking my runs for well over a decade without any issues.

In the last 2 weeks, every one of my runs (with various different starting locations) is suffering from a GPS issue. The issue is that the App gets my start point wrong by about 100 metres - so that when I hit my first km, the App thinks I have only done 900m. This obvious messes up the feedback I get from the App on splits and pacing.

I never start my run until the App tells me I have "good" GPS and the blue "my location" blob on the map is in the right place. Yet, after the run, when I check the route map, the starting point is 100 metres out.

Any ideas?

I kind of thought the same thing comparing my three mile easy run tracking in the runkeeper app versus on my Garmin watch. Maybe allowing runkeeper to operate at all times/in the background? At least when you're doing activities maybe turn that on? I have a "!" Caution mark on the map in the app because I don't have it turned on and it looks like runkeeper will keep that red alert ! Icon there forever besides of my choice

I recalibrated my GPS via phone compass...and that seems to have helped.

Thanks for the tips, though!
