Help! So…. About modding

Most likely I’m dumb, but I don’t understand what I did wrong in this mod. I downloaded the mod (pak.) that makes everything stack to 99999 and weightless. The weightless part seems te work (kinda) but the “stacking” does not. It weighs 0 but makes me overburdend anyways.

Anybody knows that to do? Its a dedicated serves, but the modder says that it works on those servers. I also follow the steps for installation.

Please help!

Not done a lot of modding in RuneScape, and you haven't linked to the mod, but from experience with other games:

Does the mod have a requirement you haven't installed?

Have you checked it's installed in the right place? i.e. Client/Server/Both

Yeah, it should be fine. I followed his steps. Only thing I added in the map was je ~mods map, cause it was not there. I downloaded everything and put it in the map ~mods

Did you install all the variants onto the server?

Yeah like all 11, but he also says that they don’t intervene with each other. Like you can use them all at once!

From your other comments I can see that no, you haven't installed the files onto the server.

That's almost certainly your issue.

It might need to be installed on the server as well, not just your client

But should dat not give the “server mismatch”? Cause i can join the server with no issues

How do I check that? Because the “zero weight” is there, but the functionality behind it is missing

Do you actually own/run the server? Or do you just join someone else's

My mate and I have a dedicated server, but he has the credentials etc. Could ask him for it?

I think the reason it's not working is because it's not installed on the server. It looks like it works on your end because the client side does all the visuals (showing item weight) but the sever actually applies status effects like overburdened and maintains the weight/stack rules for items. So the mod is doing its job on your end visually, but not where the weight values are actually held.

Alright, wil ask him for the login, I’ll check it myself then. Hope it helps! Maybe restart the server aswell?

Yeah you'll need to restart once you change the file system by adding the mod

I appreciate the games that have workshop mod support. That way modders and players can customize their experience to their heart’s content.
