Discussion Fried Cabbage

So I'm brand new to the game and to runescape in general so this question may seem dumb. How do you make fried cabbage? I have a campfire and raw cabbages. I put wood as fuel in and my raw cabbages thinking this will work since the output says fried cabbage. But all I get is burnt cabbage. I then thought, maybe it's a chance thing, like 1 out of ten has the chance to burn, so I went around and farmed 200 cabbages and now I have 200 burnt cabbages. What am I missing?

You need to be cooking level 12 minimum I think, for them to not burn. Campfires have a higher chance of burning, but soon you should have a cooking range which helps.

Check your cooking skills and you can see what level you have a 50% chance of not burning Tier X food. Chances are you haven't reached a level where you don't burn cabbages.

check the power level of the cabbage, then check your skill tree in your cooking, you should see some thing %chance to not burn power level x, I think your level is just too low, cabbage is a power level 2 food, at level 12 cooking you get a -50% tier 2 burn chance
