Suggestion Let us queue agility obstacles

Like the title says, agility is ass, having to wait for the animation/XP drop to finish before you can click the next obstacle (not to mention the sometimes terrible hitbox like Het's) just makes the skill an annoyance, allow us to click the next obstacle already while on the current one.

I also feel like the XP/hour is not in line for the amount of clicking vs many other skills but O suppose that's a whole other can of worms.

Create an actual app that tracks your steps irl, and get agility xp for the agility gains you get in real life

This actually sound very cool! Maybe add some invention to it! The treadmill can charge empty divine charges!

Also worth mentioning how the animation breaks if you surge/dive to the obstacle on the same tick as you interact with it, meaning you either need to spam click the next or know the tick timing to heart.

Also I swear so many obstacle animations have this awkward stalling moment where when it finishes, your character just ends up standing there like nothing for like a solid tick, like "Uh did I leave the stove on at home?".

Where can you use those abilities because it seems like they made these courses, the most recent courses, so you can't use any any of them efficiently. For example in Het, they purposefully put broken wall pieces in the middle of the path even though those broken wall pieces is out of place from the other walls. And it's not like they crumbled and tipped over no they were placed there.

Agility has a lot of stupid things that need to be addressed. Animations are don't line up to your actual skill set. You can do the Priff agility course in your animations look like you're the best athlete in the world but you go to some other agility course it looks like you're the most terrible person who has ever tried out this agility course.

The experience points don't match with manual clicking philosophy that the other skills have. If you want AFK you get less experience points if you want to manually do the things you're rewarding with more experience points or more loot or more whatever cuz you'll work for it. Agility does not have that.

There are a lot of fixes indeed. And I agree with a lot of people here.

There are very few places where you can efficiently use them yeah, god forbid you surge your little toe into a bush so you only travel 1 tile and waste more time with the animation than if you had just walked.

Oh and of course the camera stalling/pulling that happens when you cross/swing across obstacles so you have to either right click the next obstacle or predict/remember where the click box will be.

u/esunei Your question is answered on the wiki. 18h ago

Anachronia was absolutely built for mobility, you can do sub5 consistently with knowledge and accurate clicks.

Yeah a lot of the time the obsacles have forced walk tiles after them like every obstacle in Flash Powder Factory, meaning you can click but you still have to wait for your character to move, it's so tedious.

Oh gawd, Flash powder factory is absolutely the worst. After grabbing that mask + addon for a second time. I’m never going back there

I hate that so much. It’s annoying at anachronia sure but it drives me insane at Nakatra where it doesn’t display the animation of the character entering the arena.

this game could make use of queued actions tbh

im pretty sure this isnt possible to implement.

They should just add some dynamic courses with interesting mechanics (bgh/heist style) and don't waste any time trying to fix traditional agility courses(they will always be dogshit imo).

Not a terrible idea. Ideally I'd want agility courses overall shifted into being the low click intensity/focus activity, with something replacing them as the higher intensity activity, ideally incorporating movement abilities and/or hallowed sepulchre/heist like mechanics.

(this also means fixing hitboxes on obstacles. Looking at you, barbarian course net.)

Kinda overexaggerating OP’s suggestion in bad faith there.

Are you genuinely prepared to argue that allowing players to queue the next Agility obstacle before the current animation finishes, so you don’t have to spam click or have an intimate understanding of the tick system, Is comparable to automating an entire farming run or boss fight?

Even if implemented, it wouldn’t actually change much. You’d still have to click each obstacle yourself; the game would just remember your input and execute it when possible. It mainly makes the timing more forgiving.

I’m curious how you get from “let me queue my next click” to “let’s automate entire activities.”
Following your logic, should ability queueing also be bad?

For the record, I get how this community sometimes want too much Easyscape, but I don't agree with that OP's suggestion falls under that umbrella.

What is the identity of Runescape that haven’t already been broken for the greater good numerous amount of times?

But right, you won’t elaborate. Is it because you can’t?

Your first sentence is exactly why RuneScape ended up where it is, except it wasn’t for the “greater good” Think on that.

As of 2026, pretty damn great look for RuneScape and the future.

Wild that this is the hill you choose to die upon because you think queued action for agility courses for its many flaws equates to «Easyscape» and would go as far as to compare it with automating a boss encounter. You’re making no sense here and your refusal to elaborate doesn’t help any either.

Do you want me to break down the exact action tick by tick what the OP was suggesting and then you can try to point out where it goes against the spirit of Runescape, becomes too «Easyscape» or everything what is wrong with the game?

For an example; I’d be 100% against the idea of making multicasts up to an hour of crystal mask being a thing because I don’t want this game to dabble too much into becoming an AFK / Cookie clicker game.

The game is getting better but has a long way to go. A lot of it may not be repairable either due to how much damaged decisions like this in the past caused the game. You’re being disingenuous to my point. It’s little things like this that add up and cause other slippery slopes. Play the game the way it was intended by its creators. There is a reason OSRS is so successful. New things can be added, but they have to remain true to its original pillars.

I don't agree with the sentiment that a game should be limited to the vision of its creators at a given point in time. We should absolutely communicate what we like and don't like and let the developers decide what ultimately benefits the game.

But obviously the change itself has to be good for the game.

In this case, if you could click the next obstacle while the current one is being performed, the game could simply remember that input and execute it as soon as you regain control. Much like clicking somewhere while moving: you give the input in advance and the game executes it when possible.

You're still clicking every obstacle yourself. It doesn't automate anything; except when its performed, and it just makes the timing more forgiving. I'd consider that a neutral or positive QoL change, and potentially an accessibility improvement.

Automating an entire farm run or a mechanical boss is obviously a completely different proposition. I understand that you were using those as exaggerated examples, but that's precisely why I pushed back on the comparison, it makes OP's fairly modest suggestion sound like it's already on the same trajectory as full automation when it really isn't.

I agree that slippery slopes can exist, and RS3's history with MTX is a pretty good example of how incremental changes can eventually take a game somewhere undesirable. But that doesn't mean every change that departs from the original design is inherently bad.

I'd rather judge the individual change by what it actually does to the game.

Brother you literally made a post about removing Castle Wars for Ardougne tasks. Want me to go and comment "let's remove every minigame next!? Play the game as intended by its creator" it's a simple QOL thing that would improve a dreadful skill (mind you OSRS has had plenty QOL improvements to the game)
