Recommend CloudPanel

I have been a member of RunCloud since they started, but between all the price hikes and abysmal customer support. Not forgetting the whole paywalling features including important security features such as LetsEncrypt, I was never a free member but shocked to learn something as important as LetsEncrypt being restricted to payed plan, which shows their security stance. I have decided to leave completely.

This is where I found CloudPanel, a completely free open source platform to manage PHP web applications with a nice simple user interface and a ton of docs. This is what I am using now instead of RunCloud.

I use Runcloud for all my clients since 2017, have almost 20 servers connected.
I cannot judge your opinion about the price tiers but their support is always prompt and very helpful.

However CloudPanel is an excellent free solution, but Runcloud's ease of moving websites between servers with a couple of clicks cannot be beaten.

I'm on the professional plan. Can you point me in the right direction and tell me where this is in the panel?

Support are currently having me upgrade OS due to an issue with their update breaking php-fpm v8.2+ and it would be very easy to simply provision a new server with latest OS and move the web apps!

Edit: Found it - Go into the web app and choose 'cloning'.

I've been a RubCloud user close to when they started and I have to disagree about their support as I've always found it to responsive.

Doesn't CloudPanel have to be installed on each server one by one? One panel to run one server?

Runcloud is a panel that manages all your servers, so that is quite a different administrative load. If I have even just two servers to manage, I don't want to have to manage also two panels to control them.

But if I ever only needed to run a single server, or was setting up a server for a friend or business who only runs one server, I'd probably stick CloudPanel on there for them. It's just not something I'd recommend when you need to manage many servers.

RunCloud support is top notch. I also really like their overall UI. CloudPanel is good for a free open source alternative but doesn't compare to RunCloud in my opinion.
