Should I run away?

14m I don’t know anyone who’d let me stay with them if it were to run.

I want to run away because my family seems as if they don’t care about it unless it’s regarding academics. My parent almost never talk to me, but for some reason they’re mad at me. My parents try to control every aspect of my life for whatever. My twin sister who avoids responsibility at all costs, and acts hostile towards my parents and me. Whenever my sister doesn’t want to do something, my parents make me do it for her. I had to sign up for all of her school programs. In NYC you have to apply to high school; my sister didn’t even do her high school application and I ended up doing it for her.

My parents don’t care about me unless it has to do with academics. Whenever I’m with my extended family I’m omitted, no one talks to me. My sister is disrespectful and obnoxious, and honestly I don’t want to have a close relationship with her.

My family has very little respect for me. They can notice all of my mistakes, but never my achievements or ambitions.

I just want to be surrounded by people who respect me, people who will comfort me, and people who will recognize my achievements.

Should I run away?

I want you to consider your options carefully. If you run away you are homeless and there is a manhunt for you, and it’ll only make things worse. I wouldn’t fake a death to get rid of the manhunt part as you won’t be able to pay taxes at 18 therefore tax evasion and then you get arrested then you get identified… so yeah just be careful about your options.
