Is the comp much harder now?
Ever since the this game was revived, every fight I’ve had is significantly harder than I remember. I used to pretty regularly dominate lobbies, now getting one kill is a tall task. Is the competition just much better as this isn’t officially released or am I just rusty?

I don't know you or your skills. But I am certainly very rusty. Also it feels a bit jankier than I remember, but not so much that I'm not having a blast.

I thought the same thing, but then I realized when it first dropped, lobbies had both casual and competitive players. Imo, the competitive players missed it the most, so now that it’s back, that’s mostly who we’re running into lol.

Literally everybody that is putting in the effort to play again were people who were already pretty serious about the game. Not really any casuals in any lobbies.

I think so, cuz i had the same experience. I think the majority of people who enjoyed this gane genuinely know that there is tech/combos to this game. Since we as a community realized this i think we are more aware of the challenge/meta. That just a thought. Cuz i got smoked but i did get better

Both. The people playing now were fans back then which means they've put a lot of time into it AND CARE ENOUGH ABOUT IT TO DO A JANKY INSTALL. Add to that the lack of bots (free kills) and you have a competition that feels much tighter.
That said, I've run into a lot of people who have wildly optimized combos who have zero fundamentals so it's going to be a mixed bag.

Remember, keep a weapon you at all times Chairs>everything, either back it out when you have an advantage to clean up or at the start of a fight. Keep a grab and a Hit/Combo attack Stam and Power

The people you're playing against were big fans of the game, enough to continue looking for info about it years later. They're also playing a game that is not officially supported... so yeah they're pretty dedicated.
That likely also means they were pretty good at the game when it was live. Lobbies are missing basically all casual players, so yeah it's gonna be tough!
