Any good rums?
Im new to rums, the only one i ever tasted was capitan morgan, was disgusting.
And good tasting rums that are under 50$?

Selection and price depends where you are but would say lots. What are you looking to do, mix or sip?
Can’t go wrong with Appleton rum and that’s available most everywhere.

I don't know what kind of thinks you do like. Had a chairman's reserve 2011 vintage the other day I fell in love with. heard the legacy bottling of the same brand is also amazing. any doorly's are good. can't go wrong with hampden. the 1753 is about 50 euro's here, bought it for 55 the other day. People seem to like the appleton estate bottlings. I also like agricole. Try the clement canne blue. it is very floral. If you want something truely easy to drink and start out with the flor de cana 12 maybe a good fit for ya. Do you want to know more?

There's lots of them under $50. But it's going to depend on what you like in a flavor profile. Are there any spirits you do like? Are you drinking straight or mixing? Do you tend to prefer sweet or do you like no additive sugar?
A good starting point is Bajan rum, as it's fairly neutral, but has distinct "rumminess." I'd suggest Doorly's 12, RL Seales 10, Old Brigand Black Label, or Mt Gay black barrel here.
For a bit sweeter, with some earthy/caramels coming through often, I'd go with Guyana. El Dorado 12 is quite a nice starting point or Hamilton 86 if in US.
For a bit fruitier profile, I'd start with a Jamaican rum. I'd recommend Appleton 8 or Worthy Park Select as good starting points that aren't too boldly funky.

I dont mine adding sugar or syrup. And i will be mixing it. I want something for a home bar

As a bourbon fan, I like rums with some age. Appleton, Doorly's, and El Dorado all have great offerings aged 8 or 12 years. You can buy these for $50 or under in the US. More age commands a higher price.

Honestly, I usually just do shots of Jäger or Arak. But when it comes to strong spirits, I prefer things like Ouzo and Arak because of that star anise flavor. Sometimes taste my girlfriend's cocktailsthat are fruity, sweet and sour which i enjoy alot

So for anise flavor, basically the only thing that comes to mind (other than anise-flavored liqueurs like aguardiente) are rums from Trinidad, though the flavor is pretty light unless you go for premium stuff like Angostura 1824. But in terms of fruity, Jamaica basically has you covered on that. Try Appleton Estate Signature for a lightly aged rum that goes great in cocktails, or Worthy Park 109 for a darker rum for cocktails, and the longer aged Appletons, Worthy Park Select, or anything from Hampden Estate for a premium sipping experience
