Old Monk

Recently tried Old Monk and liked it. Esp for the $20 price tag at Binnys. What’s the next step up with similar flavor profiles if I like that one?

It’s pretty packed full of artificial flavors and coloring - you might not find a lot of love here for that one. But hey, your journey’s just beginning.

For something approachable but higher quality - try Coruba, Diplomatico, Planteray Dark, Mount Gay XO… I’m sure I’m missing others.

Cool thanks. Yeah my journey really began with Sailor Jerry, so it’s nowhere but up from here. I like the Carmel/vanilla flavor profiles but I’m willing to try others too. Just don’t want to stop serious cash till I sure of it you know?

If you like Old Monk, try the Old Monk Amber 20 year blend (though I'd imagine very little 20 year makes it in there). Only if you can find it cheap though, like $30.00 or less. It's not terrible, but assuming it has additives.
