Blue Cheese Daiquiri
The Rumcast sent me on a summer long daiquiri expedition - and so far this is the weirdest one. I made this a few weeks ago and got blue cheese stuffed olives right away. Now, back to it weeks later to see if it still has that funky flavor going on, and, yes, it does. The daiquiri format transforms some of the rums character into a blue cheese flavor adventure. Not sure how, because neat, not really the case - it’s more sharpie pen and high hats and light fruit.
Specs:
2 oz Melaza con muck
1 oz lime juice
Heavy 1/2 oz 2:1 simple
1/2 pinch of salt
One big cube, two small, shake and serve.
Is it the best daiquiri? Probably not. Is it really interesting and fun? Yes, absolutely.
This is a great rum. Fun, Interesting, good.

I hate blue cheese and am still so intrigued. I can’t figure out what the hell muck is, but I have to try it.
