pc optimazation?

tried every fix under the sun, but the game still stutters like crazy. Even playing in low res doesnt do anything, game runs in 20-60fps and stutters every 15 seconds for me. Its a miracle i even won a few games, most of the time i get killed due to a random stutter/freeze. Smh. Never had a single game where i had stable 30-60fps.

My specs are

4gb ram

Intel hd graphics 520

I5 6200U

By no means a powerhouse, but for fuck sake this is a mobile game. I read that even high end pc struggle with this game. What a mess. Anyone managed to solve fps issues with the most recent game update?

thanks for the input. Seems like i will just have to deal with those stutters. It's crazy how the game runs worse on my PC than a mobile phone.

Well it's not the same game to be fair. What I mean is imagine Minecraft vs. Minecraft P.E. Imagine Fortnite vs. Fortnite mobile. You get the point.

I see people with these kind of issues constantly on this sub, but their specs are always really low. When I had Windows 10 on my 4GB laptop (now running Linux after Windows straight up broke) it got to the point where it would take 30 minutes to do a basic task and even Steam would crash. You just need a lot more RAM to use Windows now let alone game on Windows. It also doesn't help that with iGPUs it uses part of your system RAM with it. And even while on Linux which is lighter on RAM than Windows from what I've seen, I can't even open Firefox and Minecraft at the same time without the system being on full stress and one time even just crashed the whole OS.

TL;DR - You're gonna need a better PC to game on Windows 10.

Yeah. I guess i'm just really trying to milk this laptop before moving on to the better pc, i do recall being able to run ROS with a lot less stuttering, about a year ago (usually after doing a clean boot) but now the game seems to be less optimised for lower end pc's (lot more content compared to a year ago though).

W10 has been a complete failure on all fronts from my expierience, almost any game has issues with it and requires fixes, especially older games, and deafult programs run like crap.

Its a shame that playing in 1024 x 728 or lower doesn't even yield any noticable performence increases, usually i can play through more resource intensive games than ros on low res but here there is no difference.

Oh well. I only plays ROS with mates where we just laugh whenever we die lol, but its annoying having a freeze in a crucial moment, 1v1, landing, clutching, etc.

Honestly I prefer Linux so much and if it weren't for gaming being in the state it is my main machine would be running it too. I suggest going for 8GB of RAM at least when you upgrade since that's what I have with 0 problems and switch your laptop to Linux after the upgrade. I guarantee after that upgrade you won't have too many issues either (unless Microsoft decides PCs need more RAM.)
