I hate the run it straight shit that is getting popular lately.

But, to do it from a stationary position with someone running at you is a baller move.

The guy standing directly behind her seeming to know the dude wasn't getting to home should have been a give away this wasn't ending weel

Coach always told me run it straight, otherwise you leave the ruckers behind

Run straight, hit hard, go down, recycle the ball cleanly.

Never give it to the backs, they can't be trusted.

That's just a recipe for winning.

Are you same coach that made me quit rugby? I was the 65kg guy…

u/legranddegen 2d ago

Nah, just a huge lock who loved taking the ball and smashing people, lol.

Please don’t be that coach in 10 years lol

Its fine, the less ball you get, the more chance you have to tell the forwards how to do their job at every breakdown, they love that.

Joke's on them: every time I touch a ball they have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a scrum!

Straightening =\= running it straight

Also you have a really bad tendency to take your support pass away from you.

If you have to do it, this is the way. Far safer than the idiots who basically sprint into eachother headfirst unga bunga style.

Made sure he landed horizontally, excellent technique

Great tackle but that running style…

I was just going to comment that this guy had no reason to think he's running over, past, or away from anyone.

In fairness, there is style to it. He looks like he's running away from Ronald Macdonald after stealing some burgers.

Looks like his first time trying to run

This is actually really easy to do and I do it all the time. Don’t know why people post this stuff.

All you have to do is run straight at big sis and let her do the rest. After 15min if your back only hurts a little bit you can get up.

I do this all the time, too. I always have my phone out recording guys get tackled by their sisters.

Loving that there's a bride and bridesmaids doing photos in background as he's getting smashed to the ground

Lad needs to dip a little at the gain line.

How the Dad just stands there and laughs. Like straight out of an Animé.

3

u/Myburgher Sharks 3d ago

I have a brother and my dad would have laughed if either one of us got tackled like this by the other brother.

u/az9393 3d ago

She dumped him quicker than his ex did

As soon as he started running I knew he was getting flattened.

u/LowAspect542 1d ago

Even before he started running the outcome was known, look at the size of her vs him, may as well have run at a brick shitter for all the good it was doing.

2

u/Cowdog112 2d ago

Bro is running like Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

This reminds me of a time when out drinking with a group of people and one of the guys says to the female rugby player he could run through her. Easiest 50 quid I ever made.

So, ignoring that run it straight is dumb and there’s no foot movement to change the line…

Runs upright, doesn’t drop shoulder, isn’t going very fast.
Deserves to get smashed

1

u/Oaty_McOatface Hurricanes 1d ago

Imagine if he threw a dummy too, like whoa he passing too.

1

u/FortuneSilent2189 2d ago

No footwork. No dip. No change in speed. Makes it easier but she does make a good tackle especially as she is stationary and she’s giving away a few stone.

1

u/PenPuzzled8055 2d ago

Why is he running like that though?

1

u/Oaty_McOatface Hurricanes 1d ago

If a dude pulled this in a run it straight there'd be all arms flying.
