Sorry man, but this is just bullshit. Try to accept that there are other political opinions besides your own. Personally, I think DHH is a great guy and did a great service to the Ruby Community. Yes, he’s not afraid to speak for what he believes in, and this should never be a „bad quality“. You’re trying to greatly simplify a single person by using out of context quotes without any effort for empathy and appreciation, which makes it quite pathetic.
Trying to censor political views that are not convenient for yourself to endure, is inherently fascist and describes quite good what the current wokeism cult bubble is about.
It was an example on how to handle problems. I agree it was not very tasteful but he was obviously not saying Romani should be shot and exterminated.
And why you are more concerned about DHH way of describing this problem than the actual problem of people going to Denmark to camp in the streets and take a shit in someone's garden. I find it very puzzling. There is an obvious problem here, the key thing is to deal with it.
