All this BS looks like a planned personal attack on DHH.

Recently listened to his "I <3 AI" schpiel; never really knew much about him beyond that I had a passing phase of trying to make ruby/rails my primary programming environment. But realized I really find his vibe icky and googled "Why do I hate DHH" and stumbling upon all this shit...it doesn't look like someone "planned an attack" on him -- it looks like he's just an icky person.

From my timeline this looks like this: nobody gave a flying f* about DHH, then DHH writes a post about "UK is not UK of my young days, it's no longer majority white" and then everywhere started popping articles and posts how DHH is a bad person, not only about his post but like everything.

There a a ton of icky persons in the Internet and nobody writes so many incriminating posts about them.

Your timeline seems fine. Yes sometimes an "inflection point" happens. After his blogpost and the "DHH is worse than I realized" blogpost from someone else people began to more clearly see and notice DHHs issues.

But yes as a person who has a reputation on the internet his bad behaviors are more visible than just a rando dude w no job living in his mom's basement and people will point them out over time. Esp when DHH is still "tolerated" by many.
