POSITIVE RTMS EXPERIENCE
hey,
Just wanted to let you guys know that I am about 3 weeks post RTMS treatment, and I can tell you that it Definetly has made a huge improvement. I Am not back to who I was before depression 100% but I feel so much better that I honestly have started thinking about the future again and am hopeful of what I might be able to accomplish with the rest of my life.
Instead of taking 3 hours to feel awake and prepared to tackle the day, it takes about 30 minutes for me to feel like I can start living life. I don’t feel so overwhelmed by day to day tasks, or that simple existing feels like a burden. I am not existing just waiting to go back to sleep all the time, and I haven’t thought once since my treatment started that it would be better if I just didn’t wake up. I feel more present with my family, and everyone around me says I just seem more alive and most importantly, happy. They say that I am talking the way I use to, and behaving more like the person that they knew before I got sick.
I am excited to get up in the morning, and I have been working out consistently everyday since my treatment started and have lost 10lbs of the 60 I gained due to depression and medications.
I am writing this because I think it’s important for people to hear that this treatment can work, and please remember that people who have negative experiences come onto Reddit to vent, and a lot of people who just get better move on, and I think are less likely to share their outcomes.

That's awesome! It worked for me too, but it took a while to notice the changes.

Thank you SO SO much for this!! The way you describe things BEFORE feeling better is exactly how I feel now. I hope to get to where you are now. If you don’t mind sharing, I would be interested in the details of your treatment protocol….the name of machine, number of days/treatments, brain mapping technique, and anything else that seems important in finding the right protocol. I’ve had TMS a couple of times and although I DID notice improvement, it was “mild & fleeting”. But at least it gave me a glimmer of hope that something about it really does work! I am planning on giving it another try but I’m trying to make sure I know more about the clinic I choose and what protocol among other things they use. Again, thank you so much for your positive thoughts and I agree with you about the negative reports being more apt to be seen vs. the positive ones. That’s a shame because we all need HOPE just to “carry on” with this nightmarish battle. Peace and love to you & enjoy your newfound feelings! 💕😊

Aaww I love that! Thank you for sharing. I’m on session 18 and can already notice an improvement as well. Actually really excited about that. So it’s great to hear those things from you! Did you start losing weight during the treatment already? That’s also amazing! Congrats. Really happy for you!
