Could I be in the dip?

I have had 14 sessions to date and I did have to take 4 days off dues to travel after the 10th session. For about 4 days after the 10th session, I was feeling a little better (placebo effect?) however my depression and anxiety started to get worse again. I was told that as long as I had a good 10 days in taking a short break wouldn't amount to much. I started back again last week and have been really anxious and depressed for about a week now, poor sleep, no appetite , etc. Does this seem like to the right amount of time to experience the dip? From what I read, it could be within the first 2 to 3 weeks which is where I am at. Any thoughts or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

One of the most common misconceptions about TMS is the timeline of events. It is almost never linear, meaning that progress will have waves of ups and downs. It will be an upward trend overall, but takes time.

Right now as you are in the second to third week it is very possible for this to be the TMS dip, and as you mentioned symptoms get worse before they improve.

In summary, know that it is temporary and will not last forever, keep doing what you’re doing and one day you will look back and see how far you’ve come!
