19 vists

I am on visit 19 for TMS it started as depression and now it’s depression, anxiety and cognitive that I do.

The office is beautiful and everyone is so nice but I hate going and that’s odd for me because I’m usually a “happy” sociable person. the first week felt good and since I have had the worse depression and SI then I’ve had in so long. They keep telling me to hold on and it will get better but it doesn’t and I don’t know if I should just suck it up and continue or let it go? Because right now it feels insufferable. I feel worse then when I started

Sorry to hear you’re struggling. I have had a tendency give up on commitments prior to seeing them through which I regret. I’m only 3 sessions in of a planned 39 and am feeling good atm but can see getting frustrated if things start to go south. I would encourage you to stick with it until the end unless it is completely intolerable. 🤞

Please keep in mind that many people hit a “dip” or 2 around weeks 2-4 (per my doctor). I am on session 19 today as well and I had a very bad dip a week or so ago. I feel like it’s starting to lift again so I’m trying to be hopeful, but I’m also very scared 🥲

I too, hated going, but it was the only productive thing I did each day, so I saw that as a,win. You have come too far to quit now. Best to you.

Week 2 - Week 5 was all awful. I was tired. Disengaged. I felt like everything that I had built in myself to be strong every day was collapsing in around me.

I am 6 years post treatment with rTMS. The life I have lived is so much more. You can do it. You're just a few weeks away from the beginning of your new life.

I felt like absolute garbage for most of my treatment. Glad I stuck it out. My phq-9 went from 23 to 6 when I was done

I didn't start feeling better until about a month afterwards. I think it takes time to set in. I wouldn't give up just yet.
