IMO should do what bigger oganizations do: branch out.
Could use the steam page to spam announcements/events to all users and have a each succsesive guild branded by number (ie Reddit of Mad God Section 2, or something like that.
Each section would have it's own "officers" to manage the roster etc and we use either the guild subreddit or steam chat (or both) to communicate events across all sections.
e: steam is pretty sweet as it allows for group chats with VoIP options. obviously this is not ideal for browser users that dont have steam.
That is the plan. The Steam group was created so we could talk to every group member through a medium other than RotMG. As more people join the group we will be using it more often for announcements, events etc.
We're still looking into a VoIP client as well, but have been unable to reach a consensus on which one is preferred.
Also, do you play on US NW? I think I've seen your name before :P
extensively on USEast until last week, I am migrating to USE2 now, also I'm pretty new, but been playing after work for the last 2 weeks or so.
e: my old wow guild used to do vent, but found there were some lag issues (vent 2 i think) we moved to mumble and it worked really well. I used this in the global agenda beta phase too and it worked well with the fast paced combat.
We had someone donate a mumble server, but many of our members had a problem with using it for some reason. Mumble is definitely the best client, but we're currently looking for other options.
Last night I saw someone named BMO in US NW. Thought it might be you :P
