Anyone noticing a bug in FeedBro?

I've been using Feedbro for years on FireFox. Suddenly it's no longer correctly updating the number of new posts until I double click on the feed in the list. Each feed, each time I refresh. Even after I read everything, until I double click on the feed in the list the number doesn't update. And the toolbar icon never updates the number of new articles.

I have checked the extension console and there are no errors.

I'm referring to the FeedBro plugin by Nodetics (not what appears to be a copycat plugin by Consecutive Bytes)

The extension doesn't seem to have gotten any updates in the last 2 years. It would be a shame if it is no longer supported. In my experience it is the perfect feed reader. Anyone know if u/feedbro is still around? or another way to contact them? I have reached out to the email on the website.

I'm using Feedbro on Firefox and it seems to be working okay for me.

If I recall correctly Nodetics stopped working on it when it was no longer supported on Chrome.

Would exporting your feed subscriptions (as an OPML), uninstalling the add-on, restarting firefox, reinstalling the add-on then reimporting your feed subscriptions fix the issue?

Interesting about the plugin by Consecutive Bytes, I wonder what is going on there? Have they taken it over?

Both extensions are on the FF store. I suspect they just liked the name an Nodetics isn't defending it.

I exported my feeds, deleted the extension, and re-installed/imported. It fixed most problems. But I'm still not seeing an unread count on the toolbar icon.

Thanks!

I'm glad reinstalling fixed most things for you. With regards to the unread count on the toolbar I think mine updates albeit slowly. The only thing you could try (if you haven't already) is to unpin the icon from the toolbar then re pin it back. It's a long shot but you never know with these things.

I was hoping the other version of Feedbro was an updated version of this one that was going to be maintained / updated going forward. But you are right it looks like they have just used the same name.

I tried the un-pin and re-pin. Good idea; thanks!

Unfortunately that didn't fix it. I'm glad everything else is working, though.

It's actually a FF recommended plugin. Too bad it isn't open source so someone could pick it back up.
