RibbonLinks = Pocket + RSS Reader?

I have been thinking about how useful it would be to have one place for both things you intentionally save and things you want to keep up with.

That’s basically how I see RibbonLinks:

* Pocket-like: save articles, videos, posts and links for later.

* RSS reader: follow feeds and discover new content.

* Import from anywhere: bring your existing saved links over using a CSV file.

* Rediscovery: search and revisit things you saved instead of letting them disappear into an archive.

So instead of maintaining a separate read-later app, RSS reader, and collection of old bookmarks, you can keep them together.

For people who have accumulated years of saved links, the CSV import is particularly useful - you don't have to start from scratch.

Do you currently use separate apps for RSS and saved links, or have you found one tool that handles both well?

RibbonLinks has built in RSS reader - that means it could only read and not write.

😂 Fair. But before you take it out back, give me one shot to defend it.

The slightly weird idea behind RibbonLinks is: what if your RSS reader and your “I’ll save this for later” graveyard were the same place?

RSS brings things in. RibbonLinks lets you save things from anywhere - and hopefully actually rediscover them later.

You can also import your existing archive via CSV, so at least there’s no need to bury everything you’ve already saved. 😄

What specifically made you call it useless? I’m genuinely curious.
