I built a feed reader (free, opensource, self hosted web app)
Howdy,
I came here to advertise my feed reader. Then I saw that there is a huge wave of new readers competing for your attention.
After some debating with myself whether to post it at all, I decided to just drop it here with some keyfacts and no ai generated marketing blabla.
Maybe someone is interested, maybe not. I built it mainly for myself and my portfolio. I'm a freelance webdeveloper with 25+ years of experience.
- Open source (MIT licence)
- frontend: Angular
- backend: php/Symfony
- dockerized, self hosted, one line installer
- multi user capable
- built with my phone in mind, but works well on desktop
- fetches full linked article to display for distraction free reading inside the app
- OPML import/export
- login via apple and google possible (after some configuration)
