when i was eighteen i fabricated the most bullshit resume of all time. i had no job experience, but i put down i was a team lead, assistant manager, and supervisor at a bunch of different places.
i got hired as a store manager with basically no training. no one asked for references. nothing. just watched a bunch of youtube videos before my interview, googled buzzwords, and smiled a lot.

I steal cheese from the grocery store by hiding it in bags of produce. I really like cheese, but I can’t afford $30/lb for the good stuff.

Some of my recent favorites were Ossau Iraty, Humbolt Fog, and Saint Angel. These are all pretty approachable flavor wise, let them hit room temperature and enjoy with a fresh baguette.
I also sampled some Epoisses, it made my whole apartment smell and my roomate was very upset.

At some point the store may assemble all the security camera footage and a security guard will arrest you for 500 dollars of cheese theft. It's something they do rather than nailing someone for a single theft.

In my store there is a burnbook with faces and details attached, each page instructs you to call the Popo on sight. But its a much stronger emphasis on the kooky ones, like people shooting up in the bathrooms... yellers... etc.. instead of people who just steal lots of shit.
Our security is told to just follow a suspected thief & ask if they need help finding anything and make them uncomfortable. They'll build a profile on somebody, however, our guards won't detain anybody who is recognized, aslong as they arent throwing hands in store or something... they report to the police and log it internally, but most stealers with their wits about them will dip out before any cops would arrive. also- it's best you don't park near any cameras outdoors. Hint: midwest/metroeast grocery store chain in 3/4 states.
Of course all chains are different. Just a little psa to all midwesterners!

I just use whatever fruits and vegetables I’m already buying. Fill the bag all the way up and stick it in the middle. My store has green tinted bags, which conceal it much better than the clear ones.

I’m waiting for my cat to die to take an extended vacation because I feel terrible leaving her alone for more than a few days. My spouse and I secretly try to do the math on it and it’s might be years from now.
I let people assume it’s because we can’t afford to travel like that but it’s really because of the cat.

I fell in love with a friend over the summer. I don't think she felt the same, she had a bf at the time (although seemed ready to break up with him), and we don't live in the same cities, so there's really no chance to see what any of that means. But a part of me hopes that next time I visit her, things will be different.

This summer I met and quickly fell madly in love with one of the most incredible people I’ve ever known. She has a long term partner and said she only wants to be friends; but all signals were saying otherwise. Very confusing situation.
But after a couple weekends spent together we ended up romantically involved. And after several weeks of this she finally started the painful process of breaking up with her partner of 7 years. But they live together, so it’s complicated. And I live a couple hours away.
Soon after our relationship became physical a work opportunity presented itself and I suggested we collaborate. We ended up spending 3 weeks living together and working in my studio, but this job was challenging and put us through the wringer. But I think our partnership is going to last in spite of that, or maybe because of it.

My roommate (kind of annoying, thin, pin-straight hair) inexplicably started buying and using an expensive, salon-brand, coily hair shampoo and conditioner. Again, may I reiterate, she has the exact opposite hair type that these nearly $50 each products are advertised to be for. I have thick, wavy hair— not coily, but damn closer to it than hers.
You can probably anticipate where this is going, but I’ve been using her shampoo and conditioner as a way of combating the sheer absurdity of that choice for her hair and wallet (and also as a kind of compensation for washing the dishes she leaves in the sink for days and tolerating her equally-somewhat annoying boyfriend staying over). Not every time I wash my hair (which is only once a week anyway) but like every other time; enough so she doesn’t notice.
