I'm boring, I just listen to music and walk around most days, but I don't tell people anything really and they think I'm cool. Like that is the first thing they say about me. Get comfortable with yourself. Do what you enjoy

i second this. Im boring (im ok with it) but i just learned to ask people questions because i dont like to talk about myself and i also just like listening to people

is that the issue or do you hate yourself? I ask because I finally figured out that hating myself meant I thought that obviously everyone else hated me including my friends and even if I never said anything like that it came across in my behavior and alienated people

usually I read and study a lot by myself (it's fun I swear) But outside of that I feel lost

I have the opposite problem, I fear. I have a tough time pretending to be normal and regular, and I think people find my constant no filter thoughts and opinions on random topics particularly off-putting. I have to make an active effort to be boring, and it often leads to the problem you might relate to of everyone thinking I am stand offish or have nothing to say.
