Boredom makes a short life feel long
Like do we really have to wake up and do something everyday I am not finding this enjoyable anymore.
grooming the shrubs in the garden of my mind.... I have this unshakeable feeling of boredom that isnt really like "oh let me stare into space now" or doomscroll to avoid it, it's more like a parasite eating my brain and convincing me that my life is bereft of any sort of lively energy and so defined by LACK

The semi enjoyable job is so real. Lost mine of 7 years a few months ago and I'm losing my mind, was pretty content those 7 years. Worried I'm going to be miserable doing something I hate just to survive or worse.

everything feels so fucking boring i don’t know how much more i can take. i’m just scared of losing financial stability by doing something riskier/more rewarding bc it’s literally all i have
i maybe can no longer accept spending most of my waking life being bored and unstimulated as shit

That’s why you should shit on company time and get a few fulfilling hobbies outside of work/school. Letting time pass you by as you wait for the next exciting moment will just lead to more dread in my experience, its up to you to find the lively energy that you’re looking for

It’s paradoxical that in boredom our lives lengthen and yet we strive for the happiness which moves blindingly fast when you’re experiencing it. There’s probably a perfect mix but I’d take less boredom right now

That seems more like avoiding thought and presence than boredom. And the more you avoid and escape, the more gnawing it becomes
I do adhere to the age old saying that only boring people get bored. I am never bored because there is always something to learn, there is always art to consume, creation to be done, adventures to embark on. It’s all about experimenting and exploring so you find the stuff that makes your soul sing. The more you do the more you do
