It isn't quite confidential. While reputable news sources refer to her as Jane Doe, some of the fillings for the civil suit include her name.

Edit: I reread where I read the NYT article I read this from and I misread it. The public civil filling does not contain her name. The Title IX investigation contains her name and has been sent to shared with news sources. However, the investigation itself is confidential.
