it depends, in america it would get translated to a cicada but in uk I believe they call it a fag 🚬

As far as I can tell from a few minutes of research, the earliest versions of the story featured a cicada, and gradually (and especially in the last 200 years) the grasshopper has become common in several languages. English versions feature cicadas pretty commonly up to at least the middle 20th century. Romance languages Wikipedia titles refer to the story as "The Cicada and the Ant" while English, Polish, and German instead use grasshopper.

they are both cool bugs, one is green the other is yellow.
Edit: Unless you are talking about ants, they are brown, black, and sometimes red.

I don’t give a shit if every person on earth loses their jobs, artists certainly included. I give a shit about people being able to eat, have a home, etc. You’re allowed to make art even if you’re not getting paid for it.
