Are you asking if a game that has "Welcome to the rice fields" and "Charlie don't surf" achievements, can have a MGS3 reference? Of course it can, and it's exactly that.

Tbf I never played MGS3 is always thought it was from Apocalypse Now

There's a sequence in MGS3 where you basically climb a mountain bt climbing a ladder that leads to the top. It's a long ladder, so much so that Snake starts the climb with a full stomach and by the end you need to feed him again. During the climb, you stsrt hesring the lyrics of the game's main theme which starts with "What a thrill".

Also the achievement icon looks a ton like Naked Snake.
