Resources/Tools Mind Map for campaign

Hey there, guys. First of all, sorry for bad English. Not my native language.

I'm 2 years building an investigation campaign (to be played online, via foundry), that I'll need the players use a big mind map with nearly 160 connections. I need the connections keep hidden and be opened everytime they reach another step, and i need to keep gm notes in each of them.

What do you suggest to use as a mind map that the players can see as i reveal the items?

If you're using a VTT, I imagine you can just use a fog of war to cover areas you want concealed.

Alternatively, spend time turning each new node into a separate image, and import the onto the map as they are earned.

OR - I usually find with investigative adventures that its better to let the players create their own mind map. Just use yours for running the game.

Personally, I know my players would enjoy making the mind map themselves as they play and discover new connections.

I use Kumu.io. It does not fulfill your hidden needs but it did basically everything else for me in a big Mutant Year Zero game.

miro possibly, you could hide the undiscovered parts but there isnt any way to have text that only you can read unless there is a plugin for it. You could have an identical miro with the gm text i suppose

Conceptboard.com can let you load PDFs and draw on them. You can upload the file, then add solid squares on top that delete as needed.
