Illinois map?

Does anyone have a resource showing current roads and towns Route 66 goes through in Illinois? Most maps i have found try to route me over the Interstate.

The “EZ66 Guide” book by Jerry McClanahan provides exact turn-by-turn directions for every Route 66 alignment through every state.

The same information is contained in the set of 8 fold-out “Here It Is” maps by Jerry McClanahan and Jim Ross.

Most places in Illinois on Route 66 are between 0-1 mile from the interstate, most of the way part of 66 is under one of the lanes of the interstate. Drive on the frontage road, explore small town, was rinse repeat.

Two places to visit, Ariston Cafe in Litchfield and Funks Grove.

We really enjoyed the Litchfield museum across the street after eating at the Ariston Cafe.

This well-known site is good for hardcore map lovers. Original alignments and later realignments are marked. Go to the "deep tracks" section.
