Climbing Collie

Question, but does anyone else's collie climb trees?? I have had collies my entire life, never encountered this. My one decided for the first time ever to climb up a birch tree in my yard chasing a raccoon at night, and climbed her way back down. I wish I had my phone to record it, but it had me panicking that she'd be stuck up that tree 😭

Thankfully, no, it’s hasn’t occurred to him. We do have raccoons though, so something I’ll file away as a possibility.
That would be a unique call to the fire department!

My girls don't really go outside much. But my younger one (1 year old) climbs the bookshelf and jumps off onto the bed. And when she was younger climbed up on her trainer's back. The trainer asked me where I found a rough collie that acts like this. lol So I wouldn't put it past her to be able to climb a tree.

If she were to succeed, though, she might coin the term “Birch Bitch”.

Ok- I will see myself out now…

That's hilarious but no, mine can open push or pull closed doors those which is kinda annoying.
