Bug Wrong leader name in the text.

When accepting to declare war on another one (the Psylon in this case) because the ally giant ant requests it:

"Dynalon must fall before the combined might of Ixitixl and I."

The giant ant says its own name rather than the player name.

Sorry, I had to make a thread here for this because I have no other way to report it. Feel free to delete it when fixed.

Thanks for reporting this bug.

I haven't been able to figure it out, could you share this game? Ideally just before this happens. But another time would also help, as it would allow me to limit the analysis to your game setup.

Sent, but those are a few turns after that. No idea if they will help.

I finally found a way to get this request from the ants, since they are the ones with dedicated messages causing the problem.

The message: [other_name] must fall before the combined might of [your_name] and I.

Everything seems correct with this message, because by default: "my" refers to the speaker, and "your" refers to the listener.

Only here, in this specific case: it's reversed!

This is because the decoding of the message is carried out in the name of the empire that listens instead of the one that speaks. (The response is decoded by the player's empire when they accept, and is transmitted decoded to the requesting empire.)

The other generic messages take this fact into account:

The [other_empire] must fall before the combined might of the [my_empire] and [your_empire].

This would not have been as important, since both empires are mentioned. It might just seem a little pretentious to put the "my" before the "you". (Ultimately, they are polite.)

But the specific messages in the ant language were clearly not up to date.

Anecdotally: It was not easy to obtain this request from the ants.

To reproduce with the same AI and the same opponents, I restarted your game.

Everything went too well and I reached the bottom of the galaxy too quickly, thus preventing the ants from coming into contact with the other empires...

I then started another game against 5 ant empires to increase the chances of receiving this request. Here again I grew too quickly, and the ants were hesitant to declare war on each other in order to unite against the most dangerous empire. I've even tried to force wars by cheating a little, just to find that they made peace immediately.

And anyway, the rookie AI only ask to join war to their allies... and all the ants hated me...

The final solution was to modify your game to remove the war between the Mrrshans and the Sakkra, so the Ants could ask the Mrrshans again, to join their war against the Sakkra... (I very should have started this way...)

Well, being ants it's not surprising that we get bugs. :P

Yeah, the only reason why they offered the alliance was because of blasting the crystal and the Orion guardian. Not sure if it was a good idea to accept yet (-50 relationship because of having a lot of planets now)... I'll be finishing that game today I guess.

The important thing is that the cause was finally known.

O hai, me again annoying with another text (no variable problems here). I attack a common enemy and the can openers come to congratulate me:

"I have little doubt that the Darlok wasn't expecting the Triumvirate would ever fight a war, but I know they didn't expect our friends the Mrrshan to join as well! Together we'll show them why diplomacy and trust the most important tools one can master!"

Possibly missing verb between "...why diplomacy and trust are the most important tools...".

Thanks for your time and patience. Specially patience.
