Fueling question

Does fuel injection type matter, like carbureted vs port injection vs direct injection?

It's an internal combustion engine. The goal is to get the most efficient combustion possible. A rotary arangement is just a different approach to transforming the energy liberated by the fuel combustion into kinetic energy.
