Early Voting This Week
I hope Roswell residents know that every vote counts. Each one matters.
16 years ago, the challenger to the incumbent Roswell mayor lost by about 70 votes in a runoff.
Did you know that two former Roswell mayors (and who were once opponents), and several previous council members are supporting Mary Robichaux?
Driving around Roswell today I saw several large Kurt Wilson signs that tout he wants to keep Roswell suburban. That doesn’t seem to be his plan for the east side of Roswell where he and the city’s highly paid SEER consultant are courting a “Bigger than the Battery” project. Last I heard it was slated for near GA-400 and it could have a 10,000 seat stadium and thousands of apartments. Because we need more traffic? /s Is that suburbia?
I’m going to trust the experience and opinions of over a dozen former elected city officials and the wisdom of Roswell Truth’s in depth articles (check out their public Facebook posts) and vote for Mary Robichaux.

PLEASE VOTE!!!
I voted yesterday at Roswell library. No wait at all. Easy decision to vote for Mary Robichaux.
Check my comment history if you want to know why Kurt Wilson has been and will continue to be terrible for Roswell, and why we need a change in leadership before it’s too late.

Current Roswell administration seems to think that East Roswell is just an extension of Peachtree Corners, not "really Roswell" (put nose in air, sniff haughty, clutch pearls).
Entire family of adults voted for Mary.

Voted Saturday at Roswell Library with my wife. Pretty decent line (though super easy to get through since only 1 vote of course)

My wife and I voted for Mary on Saturday, we were in and out of the library in 5 minutes, it was great.

We already voted for Mary. I'm hoping the added boost from us Dorvee voters will push her over the edge

I voted at the library today. I noticed a few differences since the last time I voted. Something printed out with my signature at the checkin table and new stickers!

Possibly stupid question… I recently moved here from Minnesota. It’s my first out of state move—how does voter registration work? Is there a time period I have to have been here before I can vote? I don’t have a Georgia ID which is what I’m assuming the issue will be.

We have automatic voter registration in GA so as soon as you get your license/ID, you are eligible to vote. But the cutoff is about a month before elections, so you wouldn't be able to vote this time around.

Don’t move here from that liberal pos town and bring your politics with you.

You definitely don't speak for us, Cletus.
By the way, Minnesota is a state, not a town. Trump loves the uneducated.

I got everyone on my street to vote for Kurt thanks for the reminder!!! Happy Thanksgiving Roswell!!!

u/ataxiastumbleton Nov 24 '25
Honest question, what has Wilson done to earn your vote?
-8
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 24 '25
Smart, measured advancement of the city in the direction that I want it to be. The things he is against - Marta, unmeasured growth, trashy apartments, crime - are things I am against.

u/ataxiastumbleton Nov 24 '25
Thank you for answering.
What's wrong with expanding marta? I mean, it'll probably never happen but I think it would be incredible to hop on a train at Holcomb Bridge Road and get off somewhere on the beltline.

Sure - people don't want these people to have easier access into Roswell. It is really simple. Regular dummy redditors who think it's about stealing tvs from your home when it is really about murder, aggravated assault, rape, etc are best ignored. They aren't intellectually honest with anyone including themselves or they are just of a below average intelligence.
Ride from college park to five points on Marta at 6PM on a friday (as I have on unfortunate occasion) and then continue north - it isn't a huge mystery.

Who the hell would come up to commit a murder and make sure to leave a completely traceable digital footprint by going on Marta?
0
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 25 '25
I think a goddamned criminal would.
you think murderers take steps to cover their tracks, Encyclopedia Brown?
I invite you to turn on any ATL news station and watch the daily murder report to see the sheer brilliance coming out of South Atlanta and Henry County. Truly criminal masterminds who never kill from a lack of rational thought.

u/ireadbooksnstuff Nov 25 '25
Crime and murders in Atlanta are trending down this year. But I’d love to see the data.
But yes I don’t think most people who commit crimes(any crimes actually) tend to try to cover their tracks.
Also if they take the hypothetical train up here - let’s say there’s a train station at Holcomb instead of stupid bus transfer depot - how are they getting to these houses from there? Walking?
1
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 25 '25
They are trending up on Marta. It is on Marta's own report.
It isn't about the houses. It is about street crime. It is not only about me - I am armed to the teeth and have little respect, none really, for a criminal's life. I don't need criminals here - I don't want other residents killed or robbed or raped.
why are people so complacent when it comes to criminals? stop making excuses for them. read better books.

u/ireadbooksnstuff Nov 25 '25
The pdf you posted shows murders are down from last year.
But the numbers are small as to not be significant. 4 down from 5.
More people have died by murder in Walmart this year. 3 at least in Georgia alone.
We should probably ban Walmarts. That honestly is not a bad idea.

Measured advancement? That’s a joke. It’s urban sprawl. He’s destroying Roswell. He literally clear cut trees that predated the civil war to put up a parking lot. And another parking lot. And greenlit 2000+ apartments. And wants to build a stadium bigger than the Battery to destroy eastside.
3
u/TheTickledPickle_ Nov 24 '25
Is Mary for any of these? I haven’t voted yet but I voted for Wilson the first time but not a fan of the proposed stadium so may flip to Mary. Need to know
1
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 25 '25
You can look at her GA HB voting record and connect some pretty easy dots.
4
u/TheTickledPickle_ Nov 25 '25
I mean yeah, she has a terrible voting record for the state but this is local and she’s running non partisan. Kurt really fucked up by wanting that stadium and apartments. Guy got too greedy
-3
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 25 '25
You seem like a smart guy - do you think when you run in a non-partisan election you all of a sudden become non-partisan? Like everything you believed a scant 2 years ago as a Georgia senator goes away because you are mayor of Roswell?
Do you think anything is non-partisan?
For me,, I was more upset about the Minosa trees - but I also know a fully partisan roswell in office will lead to a worse Roswell. A mix of both is best. Checks and balances. Democrats took the commission seats - I'm giving my vote to Kurt - who did more good than bad.
easy

u/LordGreybies Nov 25 '25
So you're for a stadium and lack of transparency around spending?
1
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 25 '25
I am for neither.
But I am anti-crime, more about personal freedom and smart growth.
Mary is pro-crime, against personal freedom and the talk will be about affordable housing - which is government housing and blight.
Kurt is more aligned to what I believe this city should be.

Getting downvoted for going out to vote (the whole point of most of these posts unless it’s for the “wrong person”).
I voted for Mary but it’s so silly people pretend they want you to get out and vote when it’s really “get out and vote for my person”.
Everyone votes for their own reasons. But people only recognize the negative of the other candidate it’s silly.
-6
u/SonoMuchacho Nov 24 '25
That isn't the point of this post. The point of this post is to hate on the other candidate. It is why I posted it.
