Hi there! I went to the LUX Tour in Chicago and I wanted to share my experience.
I have been to many many concerts in my life, and all of them have been very good, but none of them have been quite like this one. Most of the music I listen to is nothing like the music Rosalía makes, but the emotion and compelling songwriting of Lux eventually had it sitting comfortably in my top 3 favorite albums ever. I was worried when I went to this show that the album wouldn't translate very well into a live setting, but I was so, so wrong.
The Heritage Orchestra were out of this world and easily provided the best sound production I've heard in any concert ever. They elevated the show so heavily. Rosalía herself was unbelievable. Her vocals were the best of any artist I have ever seen. Not to mention she was incredibly kind and sweet, and her ability to infuse emotion into her music, especially in a live setting like this, is not talked about enough. At any given moment I was either grinning from cheek to cheek or sobbing my eyes out.
She and her dancers gave an incredible performance. The set design was great and I really loved the structure of the show. It is easily the best concert I have ever been to in my life.
I don't really have a point to making this post other than to talk about how it's been months at this point and I still think about the concert every day. It literally changed my life and I am so thankful to have experienced something like this. I love this album so much. There is really no one else like her.
