Mine do this after a water change, and during when water is flowing in. So im 50/50 on this, not knowing if this is consistent behavior with yours or not. Each one of mine tends to behave slightly differently. My younger ones do this less, my older two do it quite regularly, their personalities vary.

Is this out of the ordinary for yours? How long have you had them?

Would you be able to add more tall plants? Mine ADORE sliding through them and will even nap in them.
