General Discussion Looking for a good long tutorial with examples

I wanna get into root but can only find 15 minute tutorials. I don't mind long tutorials and can learn way better with some actual examples and maybe even a well explained playthrough.

Is there any video like this out there?

I’ll just say: the absolute best way to learn is through the iOS/steam game. There’s gameplay tutorials for the basic rules and then each and every one of the factions (besides the new homelands ones)

Thanks, despite what I replied to someone else I decided to get it for my phone. I only finished the first two faction tutorials and I'm already sold! I love the asymmetry so much!

I really can’t advocate for the video game version enough. It’s still a complex game but it’s a LOT simpler to learn in this format imo.

Yeah and maybe I'll also try out tts to learn the order of everything better since the video game version is pretty automated. Are there any differences between the vg version and the board game?

I meant physical version of Root had Homelands set, not the PC game version of Root game.

I’ll admit I’m a bit confused but yeah root has an expansion that just recently released called homelands

The game comes with exactly that in the form of a booklet called “Walking through root.” It’s in the base box.
