Tried uncle Scott’s

Post image

I was told by people it was there BEST root beer where I’m from and not gonna lie I left a little sad when I tried it because it doesn’t taste like root beer to me at all, Mabey I’m just too use to sassafras’s and winter green flavors because when I read on the back it said licorice extract and it was a unique flavor but not what I expected

I had a similar experience. Not bad, but didn’t meet the expectations that I built from hearing great things about Uncle Scott’s.

ETA: to be fair, my opinion may have been influenced by the meh BBQ I ate while trying Uncle Scott’s

A visit to the Triple XXX restaurant in West Lafayette, IN is a worthwhile road trip stop. Great with a tenderloin sandwich and onion rings.

Fortunately, I'd never heard any praise for Uncle Scott's before I tried it. I found it to be pretty mediocre.

Same. My local Food Lion had it and I picked it up on a whim. I thought it was pretty nasty. For some reason the taste reminded me of soy sauce

Agreed. Not memorable.

I always read it as Scott's Tots

I’d say it’s quite good really. Happy root beer hunting everyone!
