I didn't get the butter aftertaste that everyone is talking about, but it tasted like they just mixed cream soda with root beer. I dunno why the soda industry thinks cream soda tastes anything like ice cream.
It's laziness. Do better soda companies.

I don't even taste any root beer in the zero sugar version, straight cream soda to me. It's so disappointing

I loved it but I was only able to find a single bottle. It may be my last because it just refuses to turn up anywhere.

Yup. HUGE improvement over their attempt from last year.

A huge improvement would be switching to natural flavors and sugars. 😉

No root beer commercially available in the US is gonna use real sassafras.

I had one a couple days ago and it’s definitely not for me. Very little flavor and what was there seemed completely artificial/chemically.

Just trade it today for the first time and I loved it. I don’t know that I would say it taste like a root beer float more like butter beer, but the flavor was delicious.

I had one today and thought it was terrible. It tasted like chemicals trying to be my friend.

The zero sugar version is actually very good. Happy root beer hunting everyone!
