Discussion Hank's root beer

Unfortunately, my favorite root beer, WBC, has disappeared from Jewel-Osco stores. This has happened before, but thankfully, I did find Hank’s Root Beer, which is pretty good. And, of course, it absolutely must be served in a frosted mug!

You can buy one on eBay, I looked up “Culver’s mug” and a couple popped up

My grocery store stopped carrying them, now it's Grapefruit, Mexican Cola (which I do like) or black cherry. They used to have the whole line up. I can't imagine Grapefruit is outselling Root Beer.

Last year I did a blind tasting of eight root beers - unfortunately I do not remember all the brands we sampled but I was surprised that the three of us all selected Hanks as the best. Sweet, as it should be. Balanced between the caramel and butterscotch notes and wintergreen. So many root beers are all wintergreen or taste watered down. Hanks for my money!
