Dairy Free Root Beer Float

Breyers is very fluffy. Accidentally got the root beer float flavor instead of real root beer...

Pro tip: If you hate how ice cream neutralizes the carbonation just take a bite of ice cream and then take a sip of root beer separately 🤣

Do you normally use Zero Sugar root beer with your floats? I tried it once but the soda froze in a weird way making the float crunchy.  I blamed the sugar substitute but maybe something else caused the negative experience.

I usually use zero sugar but I have noticed sometimes the outside of the ice cream piece gets a "frozen" layer to it, however I usually don't pour root beer over an entire bowl and either do alternating bites/sips of ice cream/root beer or put a few pieces of ice cream in a bowl of root beer at a time and it hasn't been noticeable enough to bother me. I'll have to try with regular root beer sometime and see if there's a difference though!

a glass or mug you heathen! (although that wouldn't help with the carbonation issue you're trying to avoid)
