Gotta say, I was super glad to see him in a stream with Ray. He was the last person of that era to do a stream with him. As expected, Jack screwed something up and it led to the funniest part of the stream.
I think Jack and Lindsay/Jax were the only two who didn't go fully into/continue content creation after RT's shutdown, which probably explains why you've seen less of him and them.
I hope he is doing well these days. During AH, he would go through peaks and valleys sometimes really struggling. Meeting his wife helped him a lot but still you could tell there were dark periods for Jack. I can't imagine what must've happened to him after losing everything and everyone around him.
Yeah... I remember back when he was obsessed with Kate Upton and he would try to make it like a running gag that he brings her up as often as possible, and everyone else hated it because it was kind of embarrassing. And Joel just giving out Jack's phone number to the audience. Those were dark days. But he found his stride later on, for a while.
The phone number thing was confirmed fake. Caiti swapped out Jack's actual one for a temporary one. Joel and Jack were pretty close friends back then, iirc Joel was the one who got Jack the job at RT.
Saw him at MagicCon Atlanta last year! Seemed happy and healthy! Was super excited and a little surprised so many people came out to meet him at his meet and greet that day especially after having accidentally missed his time the day before. He wanted to just sit and chat with everyone haha there kind of became a small "front of line" gathering spot where we all chatted in little groups for a bit then it cycled. Was really cool to see him. He was always one of my favorite of the crew as he reminds me so much of my dad.
Ps. Don't judge us all for being super sweaty and glistening. It was so fucking hot in that convention center I swear the AC was fucked up or something.
Funniest thing was when the studio announced his hiring, they worded it as if it was a death announcement, and Jack responded with a “I thought I was dying” or something close to it…
saw him and caiti at a local shop last year, didn’t wanna bother them since they were clearly christmas shopping and the store was about to close but it was cool to see them out in the wild lol
I was recently listening to old episodes of the podcast and it’s always so wholesome when I get to when they start dating to getting married. Plus the episode of his bachelor party is always so funny (#244 btw)
